Arkansas Rural Health Partnership (Planning)

The Arkansas Rural Health Partnership (ARHP) is interested in creating service-to-career pathways
into the behavioral health profession due to 1) the significant rise of mental health concerns in
Arkansas youth, 2) a persistent and growing health workforce gap in the behavioral health workforce, 3) the belief that youth and young adults ages 18-24 (with the proper support and training) can be the answer to this multifaceted, pressing need facing our state, and 4) the desire to lead state efforts in addressing youth mental health. Per the Youth Mental Health Corps (YMHC) Program model, the proposed target population to be reached through efforts are adolescents and young adults (age 12-24).
